kvalidir, //you cannot stipulate that Muslims can't home educate but everyone else can//
I haven’t suggested the abolition of home education apply only to Muslims - it would, in the interests of objectivity, have to apply across the board – with faith schools going the same way.
// it doesn't matter who or what I am personally in terms of ethnicity, creed or class, so your point is irrelevant.//
Since you were not exposed to the restrictive, inaccurate, and misogynistic education that we are allowing Muslim children to be subjected to, who and what you are is entirely relevant. We are currently ignoring the reality that children from one section of the community are not only being isolated from the western society in which they live, but are also being exposed to an education that grossly misinforms, submerging them in the tenets of a philosophy that promotes and endorses beliefs and practices that I would have thought – and hoped – a self-proclaimed champion of justice like you would find wholly unacceptable. As one who clearly appreciates the comprehensive education you say you have received, your apparent support for what I can only describe as an abuse of youthful intellect, is utterly beyond me.
Mikey to v_e, // complete, ill thought out tosh !//
If you want to be taken seriously in a discussion such as this you need to expound upon that, detailing your reasons for reaching that conclusion. ‘Tosh’ simply doesn’t cut it.
