those asked couldn't tell the difference, and many were fooled into believing faux fur was ok, when in fact it was real fur, much to the horror of one woman.
Fake fur, it's so good now you really can't tell and real fur is just morally gross tbh. I have no wish to parade around in something that was skinned alive thanks very much which is what frequently happens after it's lived an appalling miserable life in a cage.
fake fur is made of a type of plastic, and will combust if you set light to it, whereas real fur doesn't, according to the programme. Those who were asked didn't get it right, that many so called faux furs are coming from China and Russia, where they have no scruples on adding even the simplest item as real fur which the consumer is not aware of.
I don't wear fur of any type, i think its an abominable trade.
Anyone who stitches it will know as real fur has a skin back and faux fur has a woven back, you can also tell when you're trying to buy something by parting the fur, on real fur you will see the skin smooth underneath :/
They interviewed a woman in Denmark where she and others farm Mink, where thousands of the poor beasts live in primitive conditions, she reckoned that they have a good life before being killed and skinned, just the thought makes me want to retch.
Fur farming is just vile. Things killed for meat I can tolerate if they have lived a reasonable life beforehand, so the guy up the road with his free range pigs I have no issue with cos they mooch about the fields in their little pig arks and they have a decent life, not like intensive pig units, but fur? Absolutely not.
In many cases no they really aren't. I could show you plenty of horrific fur farm videos of animals being skinned alive but I wouldn't post them on here however they are there for anyone to search if they have a mind to. If you want to wear roadkill I have no [problem with that, likewise recycling because they are already dead for 50 years, but new fur, absolutely not.

i know what you mean, but i am something of a hypocrite i guess because i do eat meat, but wearing a dead animal skin around my shoulders doesn't do much for me at all.
