I Think He Was Asking Me Out?

I was on the phone with a potential sales lead (work related) really personable man (Ive checked him on linked too and he is HOT) and we definitely had chemistry during the phone call in terms of personalities agreeing with each other.

He wasn't interested in the sales pitch but he said in the conversation ' You sound really nice to talk to. I wish there was a way that we could speak more, but I don't know how.....'

I was just quiet, and tried moving the topic. Now I get it almost 24 hours later.... I think he was asking me out and wanted me to say something so it was not like he was some creepy guy.

I am interested and cant believe how stupid I was!

Is it too late to do anything, and for future any suggestions on good comebacks to let him know yes I am interested?

He may be interested or he may have just been enjoying speaking to you. Sounds a bit desperate to me to phone back with something non-work related. You have only spoken on the phone.

Maybe be a little more forward next time ? Guide the conversation around to what they like, and then maybe ask if they fancy a drink or something one evening ? Meanwhile try not to build up hopes on such a short contact, it can be emotionally difficult if they aren't interested.
