My Tribe Under Attack

My village is under attack.
People from other tribes are coming from the great waters, and coming to my land.
Once they are here, they are taking our coloured beads, swamping our Shamans and Witch Doctors with their problems, and building their totem poles in the midst of our village.
They are also raiding our food stores, and none of them have ever helped to sow, husband or harvest our crops.
Should we do nothing?
I am also concerned that these alien people are overwhelming my village with a disregard for our traditions, and I fear that the way of life of my village will soon be lost.
Should I welcome these other tribes?

Does your tribe have a name then?

Brits
You really need to look at the history of the 'Brits' then.
Cool name, what dose it mean?
Form the wagons in a circle
//You really need to look at the history of the 'Brits' then. //

Since no time in history compares to the current situation, that would be futile.

You critics deserve to be invaded by the Stans, and the others from the dark continent as has just happened in Spain, where 600 landed on the beaches and fled into the interior. Great innit?
“The Stans”
Is that another tribe?

Theland I don't have a spare room. I live in a room in a shared house. They could contact my landlord and see if he has any rooms for them.

There is a cost to our society when these great numbers come in. The local authorities must house them, so we, the indigenous people, get pushed further back in the queue for housing.
^Groan.
Just saw a BBC documentary about the Roman era. It also mentioned various other incursions.

The "Romans" were already quite a hodge-podge by then.
Get a DNA test done. You might be surprised by your ancestry.

Do all of you poor *** live in council flats?
Those asterisks were automatic.
I wrote $od$, without the cross-bars.
as far as I know, my tribe isn't under attack. My tribe are welcoming people and are glad to share foods, clothing and 'religious' moments.
The tribes who 'have invaded' seem to be also welcoming to the indiginous people.
'My Tribe' don't seem to be narrow-minded bigots.
AZardoz, as I said earlier since no time in history compares to the current situation, reliance upon lessons from history is futile. To answer you're question I'm not poor and I don't live in a Council flat.
Alba, //'My Tribe' don't seem to be narrow-minded bigots.//

With all due respect your tribe needs to think a little more realistically.

Simple maths. Fixed assets, (housing, education, police, welfare, health etc etc), with increased demand because of immigration - result, less per capita to go round.
Naomi, my point was that the British Isles have been invaded by all & sundry many times.
The genealogy of "the tribe" is already quite mixed.

On the other hand, we have similar problems with pandering to the beliefs of the incoming, & major outlays of resources.
AZardoz, // The genealogy of "the tribe" is already quite mixed.//

I can only speak for myself, but genealogy isn’t the issue. Yes, we are a bit of an assortment but overall we have integrated and, until now, have shared a similar culture, or at least we have been able to live peacefully alongside other non-intrusive cultures. However, with the influx of people from the world of Islam, that is changing and therein lies the problem. It isn’t about colour – it’s about culture and the imposition of an unacceptable alien culture for which wholly undeserved respect is demanded, upon the rest of us.
