Pamela Anderson has blasted the #MeToo movement, claiming it is a “bit much” and that “people need to take responsibility for keeping themselves safe….. my mother taught me don't go to a hotel with a stranger….. I think this feminism can go too far. I’m a feminist, but I think that this third wave feminism is a bore. I think it paralyses men.”

Does she have a point? I think so. Well said her!

What's a quarn?
Haha, you’ve no idea what you’ve just ask’d :)
To me a quarn implies ‘going on’

Wagwarn

Whats - going on

Gwarn on its own is quarn IMO
So IMO you’ve just said what’s a going on?

This isn’t about the education of men or sexual assault. They are discussions we’ve had ad infinitum. This is about a group of women who have, as Pamela Anderson quite rightly says, paralysed men. My husband’s train on our country branch line wasn’t running one day last week. He offered a woman he doesn’t know but sees regularly on that train a lift to the main line station. She accepted. When he came home and relayed the story to me I told him off for offering her a lift because that woman only had to claim that something untoward had occurred, even though it hadn’t, and my husband would have been in trouble. That’s the sort of thing that happens now and that's what Pamela Anderson is talking about. This aggressive feminism has gone too far and men are being paralysed.
Glad you asked, jd. ;-)
It rarely happens.. only 2% of rape claims are false.. less than 1% there was never even a sexual encounter
I can’t back those statistics up though.. i saw them on a tube station billboard

Can we please stick to the subject of the thread. Thank you.
It's rather hard to discuss one without the other though Naomi, and I do agree with you in some instances, there are and have always been nasty people about male and female.
But some do not want to call the nasty people out even when it is blatantly obvious they are doing something loathsome.

Think Kavanaugh

Metoo only target male fame for compo - that would make them prossies, which they obviously are.
I really must take the time to congratulate myself in never having raped, abused or harassed any women, despite my father, or any other masculine presence, never having told me it's wrong to do such things.

I'm pretty sure, Andy Hughes and kvalidir, that I am far from unique.
Tambo that is a very interesting perspective.... It's like the woman who took a large % of money from Ronaldo for her silence, once she did she stopped being a victim and instead became a money maker
Good post at 14:37.

Well said Pammy, totally agree with her.
