Do you think we are a compassionate society, given the number and demand for food banks?
Kids go to bed hungry?
People on hard times have benefits stalled or stopped for superfluous reasons, sometimes resulting in eviction?
Army veterans, in spite of the British Legion and SAAFA, find themselves facing hardship and the governments promises to a military promise is just a sad memory?
We all had to bail out the bankers, and the CEO of Persimmons just got a £75,000,000 bonus.
The numerous questions should be obvious by now!

Nailit, I don’t refuse to see that some people struggle – I know they do - but I refuse to see the justification in embellishing reality as you and Theland do. If children are hungry the system isn’t to blame. Furthermore I refuse to see the justification in you complaining that your sister has to spend some of her savings to prop herself up for a few weeks until her benefits to kick in. Theland asked me to respond to your complaint and I did. No response from you or him. So why shouldn’t she spend some of her savings to prop herself up for a few weeks? Tell me.

blimey I dont think any of the dolees near me HAVE savings. Isnt 80% of the population one month away from disaster?
( money stops - they can last around 28 d)

housing benefit has always been over 40 d near me and once was 16 weeks. - leaving aside the naughty naughty tenant who said she had applied - - - and hadnt. Never really understood that .....

whether or not there are ways and means ( there are) - there is usually a shortfall of eight weeks on transfer from DLA to PIP.
and the minister actually said - yeah we know. it is meant to "work" like that ....

Wouldn't it be back dated to the claim date so they'll back date it and take back what they've already gave you so you're none the worse off.

UC seems wholly unpopular, especially after watching Panorama the other evening, leaving lots of people with no money for weeks.
