Aside from that, it requires industry bodies to promote their product by getting pretty young women to pose in a non-suggestive way with sausages and the like. In Britain, holiday camps usually ran swimsuit contests during the summer. But the whole idea of beauty contests seems to have faded away. Which is probably a good thing.
