i recently got overcharged by sainsburys by a fair bit, not unheard of by the way. Do you make a fuss when something is not quite right, as i remember the day when we didn't, but put up with it. Your thoughts or experiences where you got goods, money back..

Occasionally, not always depends on the amount, one such time was two years ago at Christmas, me, my daughter and a friend save £10 a week from October to spend on all things Christmas food and drinks wise at M&S , on such time the bill was £184 and we felt the usually lovely Turkey crown wasn’t as nice and was rather small, I emailed them to ask had they changed...

Have been wrongly charged numerous times when staying in hotels. Last time was charged twice for 4 evening meals! I always ask for the bill after breakfast on the morning we're leaving and check it out.
If something is wrong or faulty etc or if I am overcharged, I'll always complain calmly and firmly and it almost always gets results.
Not really. Depends what it is.

With having my food shopping delivered that just reimburse you no questions asked.

i was charged 6.50 for a 2 pound item, i have got my money back and an apology from the store. I find that many things are shoddily made these days, you don't always get what you pay for.
That's not paying to complain though. That's getting back what they owe you.

that's very good Bobbie. I haven't complained yet about the sofa and chair i bought direct from the makers, where one of the cushions seams has come undone and some of the chesterfield studs have come loose. The company may not reimburse me i know, but i spent over 1,500 on the two items and only had them delivered in March.
I’d definitely complain for that Emmie
They should reimburse you Emmie or least send someone out to make it right. My new sofas are guaranteed for 5 years.

ummm, if you had seen the trouble i went to to get the sofa and chair you would blanch. I will send them an e mail and see what they can suggest, though they are up in Lancashire someplace and not at all local.
I'd complain over financials as they would if it was the other way around. You work hard for your monies you have every right to feel entitled about where it goes, how much and if it's fair.
All parts of a sofa should be in perfect order after 10 months. I assume you haven't got loads of animals/kids :-)
Question Author
no animals/kids, just little ole me, it happened a few months ago but i have only just got around to e mailing them.
Bad workmanship.

they want me to send photo's of the faults, but i honestly dont have a clue how to do it.

1,500 quid, yes it is
About six years ago I bought a bench grinder/sander from Lidl. It was just under £40. When I unpacked it from its box I found the self assembley perspex safety window and associate parts were missing. Only about eight parts in total. I went back to the store but they had sold out so I phoned Head Office round the corner in Wimbledon. They gave me the phone number of the UK importer in the West Midlands.
I was asked to scan and send a copy of my receipt and the part numbers that were missing to the Importers.
About 3 months later I was about to ring them up and enquire what had happened to my request as Christmas had been and gone.
There was a knock on my door with a seriously heavy parcel. When I opened it I found the complete bench grinder/sander had been replaced at no extra cost.I only needed several small pieces worth about £2. I gave the grinder to my son and wear safety glasses when using mine.
Not really a matter of complaining, but on two or three occasions I have not received goods ordered through E-bay.On each occasion I was refunded in full and told that if the goods subsequently arrived I should keep them.On two occasions the goods did arrive later.
I bough a £175 mattress based on corrupt 5 star reviews from Amazon. Complaining was futile, the silence was deafening. Apart from a scammer sending false message.
