Personally I don't care if they feel comfortable or not when attending parties. Entirely their choice in both respects. As a straight heterosexual male I would rather attend a party and feel comfortable with my company I choose. I also agree with Theland.

Never been to a party where there has been any trans men / women.
Although one of my mates turned up at a party in a Trans Am and he had no trouble pulling a girl.

I have transgender friends and know transgender people at my college. Transgender people have a range of personalities so you can't generalise how they will behave in a party situation. It is quite shocking when you listen to the stories of transgender people how many of them have experienced violence or been verbally abused by strangers in public but at least attitudes are softening and we are becoming a more tolerant society.
