Just a heads-up for BBC R4's 'Archive on 4', 'Summer with Greta', link:

This remarkable young woman recounts her visit to the US, across the country, and then by boat back to Europe.

She really does give one hope for the future (if people would only LISTEN to her).

Gordon Bennett.
Most of it's for comic effect, Lady CG, has to be.
'Yet you all come to us young people for hope'

Ah, it was you she was talking then, little allen.

no thanks, would rather not listen to her ramblings
Would rather die in a ditch.

She is not a remarkable woman, she is ill and being used.

She makes the case that we only have seven years left to put things right.
She also makes pretty patterns with crayons.

What's your point?
Allen, you've basically walked into a bullring wearing a red cape and shouted "C'mon then!" I'm sure there are places green activism is accepted and admired, but I promise you AB isn't it. I hope you have thick skin.
allen, I'd have put money on you being a Greta Groupie!
A sad and exploited child with mental issues.

Yup, as obvious as you being a Farage Fanboy ;-)

“ it was you she was talking then, little allen. “

Spot on, fat roy, your usual brilliant perception.
What mental issues?
//What mental issues?//

He's referring to her Aspergers and OCD.
you can't insist she isn't remarkable, then go on to make remarks about her ymb!
Autism is not a mental health issue.
//Autism is not a mental health issue.//

But it is the rock they like to throw at her. I believe she did have issues with depression at some point too.

Come off it Tilly, you’re talking to experts here! (“ Autism is not a mental health issue.”)
Oops, sorry, Allen. I'd forgotten that.
Autism is not a mental health condition, but many autistic people develop separate mental health problems. Often this can stem from a lack of appropriate support, which means that autistic people can develop more significant needs. Greta has OCD and has suffered an eating disorder (source: her parents).

Her parents say her involvement in Climate Crisis helped with her issues. It has given her a different thing to focus on but she is still ill and in my opinion is being used as a weapon by Greenpeace and other organisations who are fully aware of her mental issues.

Every time I see and hear her all I see is a very troubled Teenager who is being exploited.
