Is He Scared Of Relationships Or Does He Not Like Me?

I told the guy i liked that I had feelings for him and he responded that he is not good woth words but is flattered but he is not knowledgeable in the field so he can't get into anything yet. I don't really know what this means? He hasn't been in any relationship before so I'm thinking he is scared. I need advice please!!!

Sounds to me like he's making an excuse because he doesn't want to hurt your feelings.

I think you could ask him. Sounds like he doesn't want to meet you in a field. Saying one is flattered sounds like a reluctance to take any relationship further, but only he will know why. Probably best not to push too hard though.

He sounds a bit shy. Just get to know him as a friend first and then see what happens.

Usually a response like this would mean that he is gently trying to refuse you without hurting you but since he hasn't been in a relationship before, it could also mean that he is feeling shy. I personally would consider this a no though and move on.
