More chance of getting kicked by a snake than getting a straight answer then?
no-yes we shold be able to agree on something we have both read
JOhn the B baptises and cleans and - - what does he clean? .... yup

whilst there may be dispute about the significance
I dont see that people can pick up John 1 and say
John baptising in the Jordan well I dont believe that for a start! Wading around in all that doodoo ?

Sin simply means less than Gods perfect standard.
// The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the ...//

yeah no - I think this was recorded because it happened. So it wasnt made up over a cup of coffee and donut because he had finished the Jerusalem Times crossword

of course we can argue about what the significance. but I still suggest that the person who wrote it down ( John the Divine that is!) thought it was ( significant)
Theland //Sin simply means less than Gods perfect standard//
Would be interesting to know what that is then?
*Waits for the 10 Commandments*
no-yes we shold be able to agree on something we have both read (PP)
I was assuming you had read the Sutras, probably in the Pali.
//I dont have any difficulty in finding that murder is sinful//

Murder is a crime. 'Sin' is surplus to requirements.
Wrong.
Sin is failing to meet Gods perfect standards.
Obviously that includes murder, but also includes anger.
But of course you have read the bible so you know this.
Theland, The God of the bible was far from perfect - but you've read some of the bible - and 'some' should be enough for you to know that. You carry on shaking in your boots for no good reason. I'm off to bed. Night night.

Was Jesus not angry when he seen the merchants in the temple and overturnt their tables?

Sounds like he was being sinful, according to your definition.
do you religionistas never give your heads peace. Imagine religion for hours. Practice what you preach and give your heads a rest.
What a stupid unfounded baseless statement. ∆∆∆∆∆
that's why you can't sleep Theland - you never give your head a break - mind you - you are among friends. give it a rest so that you can rest.
JJ , sorry that last post was for N
like all the unfounded statements made before me - all riddle meree and riddle merow. yous all post against one another and personally not one post makes sense to me

live your lives as good as you can without worrying about each other's religions.
Corby - Righteous anger, for blatantly breaking Gods law, not for personal gain or to get even etc etc.
So you are wrong.
JJ - Yes, but usually I am answering questions asked of me, and my answers rile them.
He isn't wrong though, Jesus had his faults as we all do and he did get angry - it's you who is now grading levels of anger.
To answer the question, God will forgive any sin where there is genuine repentance.
