For a change, we’re not having our usual Friday fish. Instead we’re having a Melton Mowbray pie and salad, maybe a pickle or two too.
And wine, of course ;)
I had seafood platter with prawns, calamari, mackerel and crab claws and himself had sea bass with a heritage tomato sauce.
He took me out to the local restaurant before lockdown started at 6pm
Who’re you kidding mamy, there’s no chance of daintily dunking a lump of buttered tiger bread ;)
I hope you thoroughly enjoyed it Martin, good to do something special before lockdown.
Either rack of ribs with BBQ sauce, served with pasta and Mediterranean veg, or a Morrisons best fish pie with carrots, beans and pak choi. I'll have to toss a coin.
We don't always have fish on Friday, but I saw some lovely plaice - so that's what we're having. Very trad. with home-made chips, lemon and peas. Debating whether or not to make a lemon sauce.... problems, problems....
Flaming hot meatball chilli here with rice for Bob The Builder and Creme fraiche pour moi and hot Doritos on the side. Spag bol for Conan The Destroyer.
Wine for mummy and daddy when the Unholy one is in bed.
What’s not to like about tiger bread???
Yep, think I’d prefer any and all or your meals tonight, to what we’re having. Just the way it is today :/
Ummmm, did you make the clam chowder, what are clams like, similar to scallops perhaps?
Rib-eye steak, beef dripping chips, mushrooms & onion rings and the best bit is I'm not cooking it OH and son are. They don't do 'afters' but I've a packet of jelly babies and a bottle of prosecco which will just do nicely.
