Yaki Da Boyo!
The daffodils are by Redman's photo, ( he was born in wales, lived there most of his life until I kidnapped him). I miss my trips to see him, he lived in Menai bridge, which was also where I bumped Welsh Yorkie who happened to be in a neighbours garden... Don't ask.
There you go....

Just a folk song because Welsh women sing too
Happy St David's Day to all concerned :-)

bary1010 ,

This land of song will keep a welcome,
And with a love that never fails.
We'll kiss away each hour of hiraeth,
When you come home again to Wales.

Come home.
I had the very great pleasure of twice going to the Albert Hall to see the 1000 Male Voice Welsh Choir which made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, and brought tears to my eyes. It was a treat for my Mum but we loved it. It wasn't so much the volume they could reach as the quietness - absolutely spine tingling
Oh by the way Happy St David's Day to all x
Going over the bridge bring me peace, excitement and a sense of going home.
Thank you for all of this.
And the same to all!
margotester - when OH lived in Wales for abut 12 years with his late wife he joined the local Male Voice choir and they had the privilege of performing at the Albert Hall with several other choirs - I wonder if it was the performance you saw? Be nice to think it made such an impression.
I lived in Wales for a couple of years as a child and loved it and adore their male voice choirs. Thank you for the music and Happy St David's Day.
TTT, thanks for that, makes me sniff every time I hear it!

Hi Jourdain this was way back in the late 1970's but I've never forgotten it. The Choirs were spread across the front and up both sides of the organ, which accompanied them, a truly wonderful sight and sound.
rydw i'n hapus i fod yn fyw ar y diwrnod hyfryd, ddydd davids hapus sant.
