It seems to me that AB has lots of OP's attacking Islam and Muslims in general, but not many OP's attacking Jews.

Anti-semitism seems to be considered shocking, but anti-Islam seems to be considered quite acceptable.

What do you think?

I'm sure that if Khandro were actually interested in helping me to understand "Western Culture", he'd have sent me more than one book. And, for that matter, if he understood it himself he'd probably have chosen a different one.

ClareTgold; I can recommend many books to you to help you further, but Tom Holland's Dominion happens to be one being talked about and getting much acclaim at this moment.

You could also have a look at the marvellous, Sir Kenneth Clark's, Civilization, which is available in book form or as a series of YouTubes;     https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civilisation_(TV_series)

That is the one where he begins looking across the Seine at the Notre Dame de Paris, and says "Civilization is not easy to define, but I know it when I see it."

To which I might add; "and it can all too easily be lost."

in conclusion 

the reason we see so many anti-islam posts is because so many people hold bigoted opinions about all muslims which would be unacceptable if they were said about anyone else
