It's probably just as annoying for people who just want a quick trim to queue behind someone whose hair has got into such a mess that it takes ages to tidy it up.

We have a very nice lady who visits for my wife and gives me a trim when needed.

I don't think there are many barbers now who do "walk-ins". I use a barber who is my mates' son, but I still have to make an appointment.
