Walking back from lunch some eejit came up behind me on one of those illegal electric scooter things shouting abuse. I stayed where I was be barged past I pushed him into the frog, then threw his scooter over a hedge. He gave me some north obviously but I said that he was illegal, He agreed but offered "it's also illegal on the road but it's safer on the pavement"!  I said he was a gutless piece of thrupney and walked on while he got his scooter out of the garden. He later rode past on the frog, I'm doing teaching now!

There a case a while ago where pedestrian waved at a cyclist who was on the pavement, causing them to fall into the path of a car. Found guilty of manslaughter.

Thanks david, I just can't stand these brainless tawts on the pavement in bikes, scooters, lecky or not. Especially when they come up behind you shouting like you are in the wrong, I never move out of the way if they ring a bell I get in the way and force them onto the road. Surprised they seem to be loved by many ABers.

TTT, there's an old woman who drives her mobility car thing on the pavement - which of course she thinks she owns.  She's lethal!   I'm sure there are many who would like to throw her vehicle over a hedge - me included.   I'm not sure you can't get in trouble for it though.

If the mobility scooter is limited to 4mph it must be driven on the pavement.

Even the big class 3 scooters can be ridden on the pavement as long as it does not exceed 4mph, most have a switch between 4 and 8 mph
