Blistered Feet

Went out last night and unfortunately some shoes I hadn't worn in ages led to very blistered feet (tops of toes on left foot and back of heel / ankle on right foot). I cannot even get my slippers on fully as the pain is so bad. The shoes are perfectly sensible and have been worn previously with no problems like this.

I am supposed to be going to a birthday party and meal tonight for cousin's son's 16th birthday and I don't know how I'm going to get any footwear on.  I volunteered to drive as well so I don't want to let people down at the last minute.

Can anyone recommend any products to either soak or cushion the feet to give some relief, protection or healing?

Thank you in advance.

Compeed blister plasters work very well.

Cushioned plasters are the only thing that will help - but they can cause problems if they ruck up.

Cushioned plasters, socks and your loosest shoes.  You may have to rethink your outfit for the party.

Thanks, Trev. I will deploy the husband to go and find some.

I'll try and find something to soak my feet in too before I apply the plasters.

That's the problem, Barry.  My FIL who was with us last night gave me two plasters but they ended up stuck to the sole of my feet by the time we got home.

It actually hurts to walk. The only good thing was that the show was absolutely brilliant.

Nasty.   Consider swerving the party if your feet are no better by this evening, your feet need to heal.

I agree, Barry, but I am very fond of the birthday boy and so are the rest of my clan. Apparently his girlfriend has just dumped him too, so I want to be there to give him a great big hug 💔

Don't do the driving and stay seated as much as possible. Definitely no dancing on the tables this time!

😂

Go and buy some crocs

Get some Savlon Scar Prevention gel...it speeds up healing. Maybe not quick enough for tonight, but it really helps.
