I read the comments made by the Oliver Letwin re the row over the extent of private sector involvement in the NHS
" We will have a very clear limit that we are not going to pay people taxpayers money to help them get out of the NHS . The real issue is how to give high quality care FREE AT THE POINT OF USE TO EVERY PATIENT "
Is this the same party who made great play of their proposal during the last election campaign , to offer people financial assistance to seek private treatment ?
( I cant remember a limit being mentioned then )
What is their policy - Assistance with opting out of NHS ? or free treatment to every patient at the point of use ?
How can you take seriously a party which changes policy
so readily and so quickly , and is so ambigious ?
their last policy didn't attract votes, so they've found a new one. The Tories don't have any monopoly on U-turns; but I doubt they'll have any more success than Labour at providing free treatment for all.
My wife has received her notice to quit the local hospital along with another 150 nurse's who have also lost their job, she has been there 18 years. Altogether 1000 have to go to make up a 15millon debt.
Labour has been in control here for 50 years and with a Labour Government as well we can't wait to see the back of them. The NHS is not safe with Labour.
