Emigration
4 Answers
I am considering emigration strongly to either the USA or Canada. I have looked on the net, but seem to find sleezy sites that aren't much use. There are 3 main issues that I would like to research before considering this further.
It might sound daft to some but I know as a fact that culture is very different in the states compared to the UK.
I am unsure whereabouts I would like to move to, in all honesty I would like a state / province / country that has similar weather to the UK
I also would like to know how best to gain entry to the USA or Canada etc. I am a qualified teacher and I have been for just over a year, would I need to retrain etc. etc.
I also am looking for some information on general information aspects, common knowledge to the born and bred citizens eg. language, sland, minor law etc
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section. I'm hoping somebody can help as I cannot find what I am looking for on the internet or any books. If somebody can offer some advice, it would be much appreciated.

As previously said, you need to find someone that will sponsor you (I am speaking about US here) and perhaps you might find this link helpful

It is a bit of a minefield and notoriously confusing. Maybe the best thing would be to contact some universities or schools in whatever your field is.
