In Greek mythology, Omphale was the ruler of Lydia, in fact the worlds first ever coin (the Lydian Lion) was said to have been made in Lydia. Lydia of Thyatira is mentioned in the Bible, and in that context the Lydia meant the Lydian woman. The name Lydia came to mean a descendant of Lud, Lydus or coming from Lydia (Land of Lydus). Quite what Lud meant I am uncertain.
Samuel. In the bible, the literal translation of Hebrew Samuel (Shemu'el) is Name of God (from Shem, meaning name). However, in some contexts Shem can also mean son, and hence Samuel would mean son of El or son of God (translating El). While son of El (or Name of God) could imply that Samuel is a cipher for Yahweh (considered by biblical scholars to have been a son of El, in the Canaanite pantheon), the term son of God was simply a generic term for someone who was seen as particularly holy (in particular a senior priest), and hence may only have been a description not his name. It is worth noting here that Lud (see above) was a son of Shem.
Rosemarie (or Rosemary) comes from the Latin Rosmarinus and Middle English rosmarine meaning "dew of the sea". Possible candidates for the original name are Greek rhops shrub and myron balm. For further etymology you may want to look at the origins of the two names Rose and Marie.
