There are two Masonic organisations that woman can join , their websites are here

http://www.hfaf.org/

http://www.droit-humain.org/uk/

The first one is for women only, the second admits men and women. Neither are recognised or affiliated by The United Grand Lodge of Freemasons.
I want to be a proper mason! One of my friends joined and I am bitter and twisted - although I am having good fun trying out the secret handshakes lol.

Thank all...Id heard of the Eastern Star. But thought there may have been another
for info, yes there are masonic lodges for women. You will find more woman lodges in France and Belgium, I can even tell that theire are mixed lodges in Belgium but yes they are not recognised by the massonic Grand lodges of Scotland, England and Ireland.
To give also an answer to fairkatrina do not try to get behind the secrets of the masonic handshakes has everyone of them have specific meaning and history behind it. If you whant to join the Free Mason you need to be, free and of good report. Theire are ennough Info around Freemassonery on the net who will give you a better inside of what it is all about.
I know one or two blokes who are masons. If all masons are like them, then it's one club I definitely wouldn't want to be associated with.
If they have. Does that make them Maisonettes?
