Is it in bad taste to book or even to attend such an event, I know they can earn money that could otherwise be difficult for some of them, but isn't it going back to the freak shows of old!!! I think I would feel like I was exploiting them to a degree. I'm unsure on this one

i think its a tad offensive that you feel something like this is bad taste.
this is 2007 - why do you assume that this is exploitation?
full size adults wrestle - why shouldn't they?
should they not half the same rights as anyone else?
just because you assume that the 'spectacle' may be amusing to watch doesn't make it any less of a serious match

It's not exploitation, but it is bad taste.
I'm trying not to sound like a snob, but if I was at a party and they announced there was going to be midget wrestling I would leave immediately.
I'm not going to be a part of some brainless mob laughing and jeering at the freaks, is this the middle ages?
It's very bad taste in my opinion.

would you leave if it was full size wrestling?
i fail to see why anyone would laugh and jeer at them...are you suggesting they are not to be taken seriously because they are dwarves?
would you laugh at a dwarf doing any other adult occupation or act?
no, so why wrestling?
also, i notice you call them freaks, billstickers...mmm is that how you see them?
i rather think that is bad taste, dont you?.

Hi joko
To clarify, I think it is bad taste to attend this sort of event. I think people would go and watch "midget wrestling" because they will find it hilarious. I certainly do suggest people go to laugh at the spectacle and that is what I find tasteless. RATTER asked for our views on attending this sort of event, and that's my view.

Thank you all for your views.
I think that the employment of these wrestling midgets, basically just because they are midgets is what I find distastefully. I doubt they would be employed for wrestling if they were not midgets, I just don't think they should be put up to ridiculed for someone else's fun!! I know it is their choice but it just leaves a bit of a bad taste!!!

Hi Goodsoulette, Nothing legally wrong, I just don't find it morally right to put these people up on a stage to be laughed at, they are not comedians and they are not being employed for their wrestling skills!! they are just going to be laughed, that is what I'm not too keen on, and yes I know it is their choice, I would sooner pay them their fee without the degradation of them having to perform like some sort of freak show!!!
