However, if you read what I said carefully you will see what I meant. A need for producers to produce meat is there whilst people want meat. I suppose you could say they don't have to produce it, but there are lots of implications if they didn't.

Bruce Lee was a veggie, undernourished? I think not:

My neighbours who are well into their latter years are confirmed veggies (although they never impose their views on others). Whilst I suffer from all sorts of aches, pains, colds, etc. they never seem to have anything wrong with them, look healthy and remarkably young and have loads of physical strength.
A true veggie will know how to obtain all the protein, etc. that they get from meat in other forms.

I have experienced animal slaughter, particularly of the halal kind on my travels, and have partaken in the consumption of the meat. It is not pleasant and there is a fair bit of trauma for the animal, but it is a necessity if meat is to be eaten.
I probably would have a slightly different opinion if I had to kill the animal myself, but then it would come down to necessity and need. I could quite happily go veggie if needed, I have two sisters who are vegan.

I think I need to retred here and look at my opinion holistically and in depth.
Right a HEALTHY veggie is probably healthier than an unhealthy meat eater.
This is the same as David Ginola (a heavy smoker) was probably healthier than somenbody who never did any sport and ate lard. However, compared to other atheletes he probably underscored on certain lung, cardio-vascular fitness levels.
Likewise a healthy veggie will know all anout nutrition, substite proteins etc and will take care of themselves.
BUT, and this is a big but, if you compare a healthy veggie to a healthy meat eater, the meat eater will be in better overall shape.
Yes, I said ALL earlier as I didn't expect such a backwash.
I should have been more succinct and said.
FOR ULTIMATE HEALTH EAT MEAT!!!!!
ASTUTE VEGGIES BEWARE, YOU CAN BE EVEN HEALTHIER.
Does that all make sense?

I know I am going off tangent slightly but look at the list of actors who are also vegetarian, many of those would hardly be classed as undernourished.
Like Brionon, I last had flu as a child and I am well in to my 40's, I can not recall the last time I had a cold but it was several years ago, when I had a hysterectomy last year my blood count post the operation was better than the average women before an operation. I swim continuously for 30 minutes every morning before going to work and in spring and summer and weekends I then walk the dogs for an hour.
Personally I am not a vegetarian for health grounds but moral ones - but if others choose to eat meat its up to them, none of my business. I personally think all meat eaters should be aware of what animals go through to put meat on their plate and leather on their feet, but its just my opinion and its not exactly going to be made into law.

For those of us who are at least capable of disseminating information would realise the above is virtually the same thing.
I appreciate I am more aware than you, but I eat meat and fish and fish is good for the brain I hear.
Calm down, calm down, This is only AB, Thing is you can be perfectly healthy being a vegetarian as well as meat eater. But as to the strength. 90 % of the worlds heavy weight boxers, Famous Body Builders eat meat. There is no doubt meat gives you more power.
Most of the veggies do not eat with a fact that they do not want to take a life for that. But even that is not right as when you have a tooth infection and you have antibiotics you are still killing a life.
Finally it comes to choice, and that is the strongest point where I don't think people should argue.
