yes, I get slaughtered on a saturday night in front of the telly...
Quite a few. But by now I am almost a previous generation anyway.
Well I have used grate blacking.

Not too recently.

And not on the grate .....
eat together at table every eve.
cook good food, with fresh ingredients
everything else has been lost.
Like radiogaga we eat at the dining table as a family every night, and I cook my own meals, only having ready meals once every two or three months.
Even though I'm not a church goer (or even believe in religion) we don't eat meat on Good Friday.
I will always pay my repect toa passing funeral by either raising my hat if I`m wearing one or holding my lapel collar if I`m not. A great pity this old custom appears to have also died.
Yes, I hold doors open for other people, I stick to my place in a queue (remember them?), I throw litter into those bin things, I indicate when I want to change my car's direction, and I use expressions like "please" and "thank you".
Caring and loving the 'missus' well, most of the time.....
Like delboy I say please and thankyou, I will give up a seat to someone who needs it more than me, I don't use my mobile while talking to someone else, etc. etc. Not exactly traditions but seemingly lost arts nowadays.
In case anyone's forgotten, there's still Christmas and the New Year.
