Mahjong Titans

Not quite sure where to post this, but here goes. Does anyone play Mahjong Titans on their computer? I've only just discovered it, but I can't work out the scoring system, nor can I work out why when I take two matching tiles off, sometimes the number of matches left doesn't change, and sometimes it changes by as much as 5. I've looked in 'Help' and it doesn't help, so if anyone can give me a few pointers, I'd be grateful.

Mahjong Titans is based upon Mahjong Solitaire. As well as matching pairs of identical tiles from the numerical suits (ball, bamboo, characters) you can also match any of the season tiles with another season (such as Summer with Autumn etc.) and likewise with the wind tiles(e.g. North with West or East with West, etc.).

There also exist two sets of honour tiles (flowers and dragons) each of which can be matched with any other tile from within its own set.

So if you have 3 winds showing and you expose another wind this will increase the possible matches by 3 since the new wind can be paired with any of the originals.

There should be plenty of webpages devoted to Mahjong Solitaire which can explain this in more depth, along with the scoring.

These instructions also have a video you can watch, but the article has screen shots and a lot of tips on how the wind tiles can give you 700+ points just from removing them all in sequence! Lots of tips.
