Horrific email of images of Muslim protesters in London
49 Answers
I have just received an email from a friend with photos of the muslim protesters in London on a 'peace rally'. Their placards state things like 'behead those that insult Islam' and 'Europe be warned your 9/11 is on its way' and 'exterminate those that insult Islam"
Frankly this terrifies me. And I know this is going to stir up some strong comments on here from you all - but where is this going to stop? Why is it they can incite hatred against the people that built this nation?
I cant help but feel there is a simmering, underlying resentment about to explode - either them or the non-muslims I am not sure.
But it really scares me - it scares me that I am not allowed to voice my opinions for fear of retaliation and it scares me that they would rather see me dead than accept I have different views from theirs.
Whatever happened to live and let live?

The question's getting a bit more complicated now because exactly what laws are being broken?
We have no dress code, and although I dislike the veil intensely I defend a woman's right to wear it.
The emergence of the veil in Britain I feel is a reaction to a an alien decadent culture that has gripped Britain which these women seek to reject and distance themselves from.
IMHO the British hate the veil and many don't understand fully why within themselves, it is anawakening within them that has made them remember a part of our culture, that if you cover someone's mouth they're not supposed to speak.
You have got an angle on incitement to racial hatred, but you could say the same thing for anti American, anti Israel demonstrations etc.
Most (all?) stories that emanate about things that may offend Muslims stem from white middle class intelectuals, they're the ones who are causing the frictions often enough I feel.
As for the fanatics, again, you need to look at your history and if you do, you'll see that throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s we were a safe haven for many disident groups from Saudi, Syria, Egypt and Jordan etc. we were happy to have them as we were not always on friendly terms with many of these nations, they have'nt just appeared out of the ether. Fundamentalism as we know it is 30 years old, it's roots go back to the Sepoy Revolt and subsequent British Hindu patronage.
Foreign policy needs to change in Britain in order to help ridl ourselves of the reactionaries, what that means is we have to swallow a bitter pill and deal with governments we don't like, with questionable histories, but secular goals and try and lead them towards a democratic model.
China I feel is pointing the way on economic diplomacy as men with full stomachs tend not to grumble, I've

Jees TWR... calm down matey.... Would you like me to start a topic on fluffy lambs?? Might change the mood slightly!
I think we are pretty much all in agreement with our feelings... its just how we solve the apparent problem or choose not to solve it really.
Its certainly a topic that gets people fired up!
Can I suggest TWR - dont visit the other muslim debate topic in the news section!!!! That'll send your blood pressure off the scale!
On an interesting slightly different note... talking about police and govt too scared to take a stand for fear of recrimination and being labelled racist etc...
A gypsy (OK pikey) died a few years back and the funeral was held in the church round corner from our office. Well the pikeys came in their hundreds.. and parked IN the road.. I dont mean the side of the road.. I mean ALL the way down the road on the sides in the middle... The whole road was turned into a carpark with NO prior warning. So at lunch time I go to pop to the shops and cannot get to my car let alone move it or drive off THE WHOLE ROAD was cut off. and get this.. the POLICE were guarding the ends of the road!!!! I mean.. if we one day decided to park and block an entire road - would we not be forcibly moved and and have our cars towed??? The cops didnt want the pikeys to kick off so they let them do it! If a house had been on fire or needed ambulance - no chance!!!
One rule for one - one rule for the others!!!

twr i am with you all the way i can not say what i want to because if i do it could be said to be racist and i would be in trouble god forbid i have to hold my tongue i always thought this country had a freedom of speech sorry i am wrong again and 123 everton with regards to going abroad if we do wrong we have to abide by there rules if we are caught with drugs we have abide by there rules and are imprisoned we can not do or say what we want one rule for one and one for us
Quinlad.. hardly a fair comparison... comparing a scheduled homecoming to our soldiers - an organised event...
to closing a road for a bunch of pikeys to attend a funeral... If someone had needed ambulance assistance they would not have got it...
The soldiers event would not exactly threaten peoples health should someone need assistance.
Not a fair comparison at all Quinlad... rubbish in fact!
Try again!

jake,'Small groups of Extremists try to provoke moderates into extreme positions.'
In this instance, your absolutely correct, although they don't just try, they do.
One inescapable fact, unless something drastic happens, the Islamisation of this country will happen.
Short of civil action, thre's nothing now that will stop it, just a question of when.

Lonnie is absolutely spot on, and I believe is Jewish? So therefore has more reason than most to be very apprehensive. To Islam, the Jew is the first slaughter victim, up there probably even more important than homosexuals, and women - yes correct, in its ultimate manifestation, all women have to walk around with only their slitty eyes showing. Personally, wandering around Croydon, I find this sight utterly repulsive.
I think that radical Islam needs more provocation in Britain, so they can be more repulsive, and arouse more and more loathing, because while they are allowed to get away with it, the pernicious inexorable erosion of everything you hold dear will continue.
It will come to street riots, and I'm afraid unfortunately it has to. Which faction will the Army shoot?

Gorless, that has already happened, Eg, Oldham, Burnley, Blackburn, As I have said the kettle is boiling. ( And No, am not a Racist, member of the BNP, Or an extremist, I am a member of a Civilised Society that go through the right channels if I have a dispute, I do not go in Cities crying blow up the Evil Bsds that fight that sht ars Allah, the Koran say I believe, no violence, so who the fuk is the Allah, if the bloody god was so good in their own blody country why the hell did the tribes come here, do you see the decent Indian people behave like animals? no, why? because they are decent, I am not a hypocrite, I have worked with Muslims, but their own kind know who the devil worshipers are, disown the scum by doing that you will first of all make this a better world & get rid of the scum that are giving you Muslims a bad name.
There has been the exact same topic on another thread where I was accused of being a racist because:
1. I stated that in certain Islamist countries women are excluded from the education system.
2. Women are excluded from worshipping at a mosque.
3. Homosexuality is punishable by decapitation.
4. An out-of-wedlock "affair" is also punishable by death.
5. Women are not allowed to vote.
I also referred to the demonstration by Muslim extremists against the homecoming parade through Luton and stated that given the fact that the demonstrators were screaming vitriolic abuse at the squaddies, then this in effect amounted to Public Order offences.
Plus, they were waving banners with highly derogatory and insulting slogans on them, i.e. "Royal Anglian Regiment, Butchers of Basra" etc etc.
I suggested that the Police were clearly under orders NOT to arrest any demonstrators and I dared to suggest that were the squaddies to act similarly outside some mosque, numerous prosecutions would follow.
I was roundly condemned by a few people for my "racist undertones". Mmmmmmmhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh?????

With regard to India, again read your history, look up the partition of India in 1948 bestial rape and murder all round.
If you're still not convinced because it lends too much toantiquity, then look up the more recent violence in Lahore if memory serves (2004?).
Perception is largely the problem, many Asians are percieved as getting preferential treatment with regard to council services, I am ineligible for most all benefits because I work, I have'nt been in receipt of benefits since 1989 (so I don't know) so with the exception of the I.M.A.S I can't think how benefits within a supposedly secular administration would be unequally applied.
Enoch Powell is due an airing on this thread, he was wrong, his speech was steeped in the Ugandan Indian diaspora (i think) and although he referred to "picaninnies" (blacks) it was the Asians that stoked the ire.
These Asians came potless, many of them are now millionaires, what Uganda would'nt do for some millionaire entrepeneurs in their land now?

As for the Gypsies you are right to compare it with a parade (of any hue) is nonsensical as any parade needs police and council approval as well as insurance.
Unless the Gypsies had advised or asked for the road to be closed then this discrepancy would annoy.
Maybe, it's just a thought, that nobody (least of all the police) were aware that so many people would attend, and that thus descended upon the police felt that, given the unhappy circumstances, discretion formed the better part of valour. I'm sure the ambulance service was made aware of the road closure.
I have though (it's true) watched a programme on traffic wardens and they did not issue tickets to cars illegally parked on Fridays outside the Mosque, which I feel is wrong but I see it often outside Churches also, still wrong.

Everton Don't keep going on about History. It's NOW that we are worried about. Bye the way the Muslims have invaded Europe on numerous occassions. The siege of Vienna occurred when your lot tried to dominate Europe, and it was a combined European effort that drove them back. Now we are letting them in by the Back door.
You cannot ignore history with regard to the modern problem, it was the Empire that allowed them to reside here, it was the aftermath of the Sepoy revolt that gave birth to political Islam, it was British preference to Sikh and Hindu castes that alienated Muslims within India (divide and rule), which helped bring in partition added to it someone made reference to peaceful Indians, history tells us that they are not so peaceable at home, or is this century not recent enough for you?
Enmitities from the past have to absolved for peace in the future, look at South Africa, look at post war Germany, dealing with these enmities primarily in Israel will take a huge amount of wind out of political Islam's sails.
Anti Israel politics allows the dictatorial governments to distract it's people from their own corruption and failings.
If you don't learn from history you are doomed to repeat it, or, as Oscar Wilde said "we learn from history, that we learn nothing from history" which is why go from squabble to squabble through the ages with different enemies undermining the state from within.

No 123everton I am not saying we should ignore the past by any means - but just not keep going on about awful things certain races or religions have done in the past - human beings are pretty destructive creatures by nature anyway! And if you look at any decade or any era in our existence there will be something we did that we shouldnt have.
The problem is we never evolve or learn from it but actually create the problem for future generations - and personally I think it should not be about drawing a line in the sand to say STOP HERE AND NOW and create a new path going forwards.
All races or religions can bleat about being the 'hard done by' party, or feel more persecuted than the next and it is these that are then used as excuses for them to become more powerful and uprise against those they feel committed the persecution.
It shouldnt be about blame games - stop here stop now and wipe the slate clean. Unfortunately history and the past is such a strong thing for some that I feel we will never move forwards and will continue with the same mistakes. That is why I am so fearful for all our futures - with radicalism and extremism being in the papers more and more and people recruiting the young and vulnerable to partake in their missions.
Just all very sad and I feel powerless to prevent it
