I have just taken a parcel to the main Post Office - it is going to Norway - the girl behind the counter said I must fill out a Customs Form - I said thats wrong because they are in Europe and you only fill Customs Forms out for USA, Australia, NZ ,Japan etc etc.
She said Norway are not in Europe - by this time we had starting arguing back and forth - I then told her that they won the bloody EUROVISION SONG CONTEST on Saturday night. To which she replied - 'did they'.
And the answer to the next obvious question here is....
The simple answer is that they are all members of the European Broadcasting Union, a conglomerate of public service broadcasters grouping together to assist each other with new technologies and to promote collaboration with each other. With associate members around the world (including Canadian and Australlian broadcasters), the rules for entry to Eurovision are relatively simple: you need to be a full member of the EBU and be inside the European Broadcasting Area, and that isnt solely based on mainland Europe.
Yes Joy, I am on Facebook - but only joined last year when my god daughter went to work in the USA at Camp Thunderbird in Miami - so I could see her photos, I joined.
I have'nt got a photo of me on the site and I don't really use it, but if you want to communicate off here, I suppose thats a good way. I think you can filter out people you don't want to be friends etc.
Afternoon Salla - I know, its so confusing - silly part is, I post loads of parcels all over the world (I sell on Ebay) and have done to Norway before and have never filled a customs form out for them. On that basis, the other post offices must have been wrong !!
