Colleague question?
6 Answers
Following on from Miles' question below, there is a colleague at my work (I'm loathe to call him a friend) who persistently talks about p*rnography (or "grummer" as he calls it, he's from the North East and a little slow), not only does he talk about it all day but a few days ago he took a copy of "Asian Babes" magazine off to the toilet, announcing along the way, "Reet, I'm off for a Tommy Tank!" Needless to say after his 40 second absence he returned rosey cheeked and somewhat subdued. I've been thinking about contacting HR as this is obviously gross misconduct, but don't want to be seen to be 'shopping' someone at work. Advice please?

This bloke is totally unprofessional, if he did that in my place of work he would have been disciplined by now. You can't sit at your desk and talk about porn all day, bring in porn, and conduct lewd behaviour in public places (and yes, office toliets are public places). I would report to HR and I wouldn't give a fcuk if he knew it was me or not. But thats just me.
Yeah, he sounds like he is out of control. If he can't keep it in his pants until he gets home... and he has to announce his plans? Rat the mother fcuker out and hopefully he'll get fired so that way he and his kn0b can spen more quality time together. If others find out that you "ratted" him out, then instead of thinking you're a "snitch" they'll know that you don't put up with inappropriate bull siht. Sorry, this kind of stuff gets me going because I wish I had the guts to put perverts in their place when they used to disrespect me.
Sorry, spamflags. I commented earlier but I wasn't sure if you were male or female (I still am not). I think your reaction depends on whether you are male or female. This may sound sexist but I do think guys act differently around guys than they do around females. If you are a female and he is acting like this I would report him because this is bordering on sexual harrassment. He is forcing you to listen to things you would rather not listen to and he is acting in an unprofessional and disgusting manner. If you are a guy, the same could apply, or it could be that he is trying to be "one of the boys". Whatever, I think he is very immature and rather inadequate.
