hindu prasanna service - what gifts to give

ive been invited to a hindu prasanna service. i think this is similar to whaat we christians would say is our babys christening. unfortunately i wont be able to attend but want to send a gift . id appreciate any traditional ideas?

This ceremony celebrates baby's first solid food, when he or she is weaned.
Apart from Hindu idols, which are traditional gifts but inappropriate for a non-Hindu, a baby's silver spoon would be ideal, or a child's bowl and spoon set.
