I got fined for ordering a black coffee
29 Answers
I got fined in a caf for ordering a black coffee. Following my order a member of the PC brigade wrestled me to the ground and issued the 1000 fine. After attending a PC correction facility I realise that the correct term is:
One coffee without a lactose supplement, please.
The adjective 'black' is exclusionary and has a direct and shameful correlation with the slave trade.

Black is only the name of a colour not a race. This is a disgrace and things like this make me soooooo mad!! I feel so sorry for you Pufflette, there simply was no need for the actions taken against you. God help our society!!
Perhaps you should carry a copy of the Guardian and then they'll realise your use of the term bl@ck was just post modernist ironry and therefore OK
I hope it was far trade coffee or they'll wrestle you to the ground again!
They might force you to wear a Burka next time!
Maybe they just like wrestling you to the ground
