unwanted Facebook

Through conversations with two friends (neither of whom know each other I should add), it would appear that I have been impersonated on Facebook. I have never used this site in my life, yet both girls tell me that I'm there, with various mentions about things that only I would know.
Can someone please advise me how I can go about dealing with this? I really don't want to get involved with Facebook and am cross that someone has done this.
Hope to hear from you soon, many thanks,
Chox.

The following is taken from facebook with regards to imposters
"If someone has created an account to impersonate or imitate you, please go to the impostor profile and click "Report/block this person" at the bottom of the left column. Check the "Report this Person" box, choose "Fake Profile" as the reason, and add "Impersonating me or someone else" as the report type. Be sure to add a valid web address (URL) leading to the real profile so that we can review the information."
(incidentally. how did somebody else post information that only you know, surely the fact they have posted it means it's not only you that knows it?)

Hi guys, thanks for this advice. I've logged in etc, but can't seem to manage to do this myself, so I am asking one of the friends who told me about this, to see if she can sort it for me. Let's hope she can sort it out. Not terribly up to speed with all this, so finding it a bit difficult - not to mention frustrating and irritating!
