I'm Northern European. 15 generations of my family have been born and lived in England, but since there is no race known to be indigenous to these islands then I cannot for certain call myself British. I suspect, because of my colouring and build, that my earliest ancestors were Angle or Saxon, but until I know for certain, I'll content myself with being Northern European.
Seeing as i'm a mush of neglish, scottish and irish I call myself british.
