The visually-challenged God

From the Koran: "When forty-two nights have passed over the "drops" Allah sends an angel to it' who shapes it and makes its ears, eyes, skin, flesh and bones. Then he says, 0! Lord, is it male or female? and your Lord decides and the angel records it".
So an angel shapes the human foetus, and Allah decides its gender, so why don't either of them notice when a serious error occurs in the handiwork, resulting in a severely handicapped child, conjoined twins, or even an hermaphrodite?
Maybe God's mislaid his glasses.

Have you got any other credible scientists to offer then? Or are you ignoring that bit?

Oh I see, so you were talking about your posts and links and obviously you credit them more than the world known experts so therefore you concluded that,
//////in fact I've pointed one or two of their errors (that also mysteriously appear in the Koran) out to you/////
So you expect me to take your “pointed” errors seriously. I do not take things seriously from people who not even close relatives listen to because they easily declare anyone as “unreliable” when it suits them. If you are having difficulties in understanding what I am saying Naomi, then do You expect me to take you seriously and not Dr Keith Moore only because he said something you do not want to agree with. Obviously I am not ready to be deposited into mental hospital yet.
Thank you for your ground breaking efforts and work which published on a website called answer bank.

Keyplus, once again I'll overlook your rudeness, but you are quite wrong to use the word 'expert' in the plural, you know. Despite my request, which I was obliged to repeat, you have produced only Dr Keith Moore, who was filmed stumbling over his words 40 years ago whilst in the employ of the Saudis - and who, quite understandably, doesn't refer to that embarrassing episode in his life. Don't you think that if he really believed what he said, he'd have shouted his ground-breaking discovery from the rooftops? But he didn't, did he? He kept a very low profile. I wonder why? Tell you what, why don't you Google and see if you can find anything from him that confirms the opinion he gave in that video. On second thoughts, don't bother - because it isn't there.
So much for the 'undeniable' veracity of the science of the Koran. :o)

On the other hand I can say that why did he not comeout and said all what you are saying about him.
So seems to me that we are again at point zero and shall I say again.
Here you go naomi, Trophy is yours (as it would not make any difference to me or the way the world is changing) or do you want to carry on?

Keyplus, All the evidence we need that your book is in error is contained within the verse I used in the original question.
Allah does not decide the gender of a baby after 42 nights. Gender is determined at conception. Your book is demonstrably wrong.
I see no reason to carry talking about the pseudo-science of the Koran because it's all been said here before. I would however like your explanation for this comment

Naomi-////Gender is determined at conception.////
Next time a woman conceive then ask her what she has conceived. Ask her to go to a clinic of your choice and have a test of your choice and let me know if someone can determine what she has before 42 nights. Talk of chromosomes (XX, or XY or whatever) are a possibility and science speaks about that. But even science cannot tell before 42 nights what it really is. So possibility and determination are two different things.
Any interest in proving Quran wrong any other way then please feel free to post a new thread as after all you would serve the humanity better if few others will read it too. We are probably the only two posting on this thread now and posting only for you is a complete waste of time for me. Unless someone else posts here (apart from the “PUBLIC” that demanded you back) good luck on this thread.

Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD)
PGD involves extracting a single cell from a 6-10 cell embryo (day 3 of development). PGD can be used for determining the sex of embryos to minimize the likelihood of transmitting fatal genetic diseases.

Naomi – Sometime I do wonder how hard you try in proving Quran wrong and I do wonder why? So hard that you even forget the difference between Quran and Hadith.
////Your book is demonstrably wrong.////
I have told you before that this 42 nights thing is from Hadith and not from Quran. I did say "Die Hard" didn't I?
Then I do wish you read before you post. That article is talking about IVF. Every woman (and even men know the difference between normal pregnancy and IVF implantation). And then perhaps you should read foot notes for references. Especially foot note number one. What else can I say after that? Perhaps I can give you few other things to ponder.

The verse is from canonical hadith - hence considered 'gospel'.
Of course the article concerns IVF. You would hardly expect doctors to take living cells of 3 day-old embryos from the bodies of newly pregnant women! Jeepers! Whether it's natural pregnancy, or IVF, do you really think the biological process is different? Use your head, Keyplus!
I have given you a link to the British Medical Journal, but I'm not entirely sure what you've given me. However, the fact remains, Allah does not determine gender after 42 nights. It is determined, by nature, at conception.
