Can religious people believe in extra terrestrials?
34 Answers
As far as I know, according to most religions, everything we see was created by god and we as people were created in his image. It stands to reason that we are therefore the most important beings on earth.
What would be the scenario if there was another race found on another planet who looked nothing like us but were as self aware and intelligent as us? Would they be inferior to us, much like dogs and cats or would they also be able to get into heaven so long as they believed in our gods?

Keyplus, if you take the trouble to look you'll find documents much older than the Koran talking about life on other planets. Where do you think Mohammed got his ideas from?
//We do not know but it would not be more intelligent than human. //
The first half that statement is correct. We do not know. The other bit contradicts that completely.

Jomifl - That 1400 years old book talks about many things apart from usual what you see in the media and on this and many other websites. If you are really serious to know then buy one and read. I would mind giving you one as a gift but here on this website no one knows who we are and where we are. However there are many translations (unless you know Arabic) Yusuf Ali's is the best.
Naomi - Didn't I say that before that there were prophets before Muhammad (pbuh) and therefore there were messages too. But most of those messages have been corrupted now. But most of the people quote Greeks so obviously they had some sort of religious influence from previous prophets. But either way they were nothing more than philosophical assumptions whereas Quran says things as authority and it’s there to stay. Whereas Greeks record all disappeared during so called “dark ages” and what people know today was preserved by Muslims in Spain and Iraq centuries ago. Perhaps you need to read a little bit of history too.

Keyplus, yes, you did say that before. You said all the prophets of the bible, including Jesus, were Muslims - only they didn't know they were Muslims. They thought they were Jews. That's right, isn't it?
It is abundantly evident to anyone who has a little knowledge of antiquity, and who cares to read the Koran, that Mohammed hijacked the men of the bible along with the theology, the work - and the mistakes - of earlier civilisations. The Koran contains no authority - unless you choose to allow it to wield authority over you - as you do. What happened to that once proud and intelligent people you speak of? You, Keyplus, do Islam no favours. You've chosen to remove yourself physically from a land that embraces a culture that continues relentlessly to embrace the Dark Ages you speak of, but nevertheless you insist on bringing that same culture with you into the 21st century - and encouraging others to take the same backward path that you take.
Oh, and incidentally, as you are very well aware, I know my history.
Now, we know your literature is wrong - we've proven it many times - so why don't we talk about something more interesting? Going anywhere nice for Christmas - or are you staying around here to take part in the annual panto?
