Once upon a time .....

We've had stories of Pompeii, and of wars, and numerous little anecdotes about blind men, and of birds and animals, that I can only relate to something like Aesop's Fables. Why do some of the believers here think that their little tales will influence others - or indeed, that they are qualified to instruct? Children like fairy tales - and often believe them for a while - but adults, through experience of life, have decided what they believe, and upon the moral code by which they want to live, so are very unlikely to be convinced by the patronising words of dubious wisdom that clearly influence the impressionable minds of the story-tellers.

The Sheep Kept On Eating.
The sheep just kept on eating and munching on their hay
They didn’t seem to grasp or know it was a Special Day.
And still they kept on chomping when later came to view
Two angels complete with wings to beat
The shepherds were dumbstruck too.
And then while they were feeding Three Kings came by with gifts
With words of prophecy they spoke, then said goodbye and left.
And yet the sheep kept munching and packing it away
The Angels wings kept wafting as they watched o’er where he lay.
But Lo! They’ve stopped their chewing, their jaws are hanging slack,
The Child woke up and gazed at them- and they are gazing back.
So when our sheep are eating and they stop and stare unfazed…..
Perhaps they had an ancestor who on our Saviour gazed…

Isn't that what believers do? Knocking on your door....handing out leaflets in town...spreading the message to anyone who will listen...
From this site alone I've realised that many atheists are far better educated on the subject of religion. They made their minds up because of the facts...not deluded by blind faith :-)

The Elderman Kept On Eating.
The Elderman just kept on eating and munching on his hay
He didn’t seem to grasp or know it was a Delphianl Day.
And still he kept on chomping when later came to view
Two ABers complete with wings to beat
The Christians were dumbstruck too.
And then while they were feeding Three Aetheists came by with gifts
With words of reality they spoke, then said goodbye and left.
And yet the Elderman kept munching and packing it away
The Aethesist truisms kept wafting as they watched o’er where he lay.
But Lo! He stopped his chewing, his mandibles hanging slack,
The Realist woke up and gazed at him- and he is gazing back.
So when Elderman is eating and he stops and stares unfazed…..
Perhaps he had some crazy religious ideas brilliantly razed......
