No less wisdom is required for choosing who you rely on to do your thinking for you. As it turns out, ultimately, it was you all along who chose which religious principles to adopt and follow. There is no escape from personal responsibility in relegating or refusing to acknowledge it. Any good we do, we do because of, not in spite of, ourselves.

Sith, //naomi, a lot of people believe in aliens. Just because you do not that doesnt make it a "funny way of wording it". i know what you meant. but than again. in your case a lot of things that goes on in peoples heads is, according to you, wrong or stupid.//
I haven't said I don't believe in aliens. You might be very surprised at what I believe. Also, I haven't called anyone stupid - but you have.

Sandy >>Much that goes on in my head IS stupid and some is very wrong<< Correct, you are a Christian.
>>That's why I look to religion to keep me on the straight and narrow.<<
I just use a good sense of morals, common decency and intelligence (although that is a little limited).
Oh to be a free thinker!! :)

Hi Ratter....Just a few words which I put together many years about thinking.
I think I thought that I had thought that I would think.
And then thought, I'll first buy myself a drink.
Well having bought the drink that I had sought,
I sort of thought about the thought I'd thought;
Then thought, there was ought but nought about the thought I'd thought.
Or so I thought I think.
So I bought another drink, which led me on to think,
That I could no longer think, because I was getting drunk.
Or so I thunk; I think!!
Ron.

Naomi, I wasn't suggesting that you give up your obviously sincere and strong belief in nothing. I was simply saying that we should agree to differ.
I've come to realise that I have more chance of convincing you to give up all your worldly possessions and join a sect of mendicant nuns, where you'd be employed hand-washing sacerdotal dirty laundry for the local clergy, than I have of even moving you one inch on the subject of faith.
Mores the pity.
