Reading through the threads here on R&S, I see that there are at least two JW's (mymom and truthabounds)
I'd like to ask why you wont read any literature that contradicts JW teaching?
What are you afraid of?
On many occasions ive taken (and read) watchtower and awake magazines from JW's at my door but try and get a JW to read any literature that I recommend and they just wont hear of it. WHY? If you are so sure of your faith then surely reading something that might question your belief isnt a big deal? After all, I read your magazines without any fear.

I don't know how anyone can belong to a sect that is so restrictive. I want to be able to read whatever I like - and my taste is catholic (with a small c, please). I want to be able to be friends with who I like, to write what I like (here, for instance), to listen to what I like, music, poetry, anything, to watch what I like and to celebrate every occasion I can. To be bound by conventions would be just too much for me.
Rest assured that I am an atheist, but if the Jehovas W's call I am not rude but tell them I do not believe their beliefs. Further, I say that I think that they, at least are good people. Also I admire their (true) exposure of fossil evidence failing to find Darwin's "missing link". Privately, though they go far too far, their belief in not "drinking" blood has to a little extent shown right: the acqisition of AIDS via transfusions. Even fools can get something right.
its all part of their brainwashing - to avoid the heathen, dirty relgions and press that does not meet their Lords' and Masters' approved list and, oh God, may pervert them from the straight, narrow and financial
If they were to think..........nailit, just search for Elderman here and read his unstructured waffle, especially when challenged by us sinners.

Thanks carrust, sorry if I gave idea against blood tranfusions, nope 100% for. On main point may I add that I find that both Jehovas and Mormons (C of Latter Day S'ts) don't know the difference between the Old and New Testaments. They do not know Jesus (a fake) contradicts the Old Testament or had a brother, John. Mention the "Holy Blood and the Holy Grail" they look blank. Why do (always white) Mormons wear posh suits?
