LOL, suechu, it was a tad annoying.
But the weirdest experience I've ever had happened when my mother died. Before the funeral, my sister and I went to the undertakers for one final goodbye to Mum. The undertaker took us into their chapel of rest where she was laid out, surrounded by flowers. My sister left after a few moments and I stayed behind. I said a little prayer, and then touched her forehead and said goodbye. The moment I touched her, all the lights in the room went out apart from the one that was directly shining on her face. It didn't feel at all scary or unnatural, but right somehow, as though she was acknowledging what I'd done.
I left and mentioned to the undertaker about the lights, and he was horrified, and kept on apologising and saying how dreadful it must have been for me. Funnily enough, until he said that, it hadn't occurred to me that I should have been unnerved by it - it just seemed so right at the time. People I've told this story to invariably say how frighteneing it must have been, but it truly wasn't. Just Mum saying goodbye.
