By using the word 'godless' you are implying that god doesn't exist. If there is one I'm sure he will help heal the bullet wound in your foot :-)
I feel awe in my mind and heart when I look at the night skies and think of how vast the universe is. We do not and we cannot ever know what or who created it. I think whatever did has passed on to do other things and ignores our little planet. I am an atheist, I do not believe in God with a capital letter. That Something started it I do believe, but as I do not know what I don't think I will acknowledge that there is any great being who cares two hoots about what goes on here.

I do too starbuck, there are far too many lovely things in the Natural world that make me think that there is a Being of some kind. Not the invisible God of the Bibles. Nature can be cruel and so can man, we are fortunate to be part of the 'perfect' combination that makes up our planet. I don't suppose this will appease the Muslims though.
Sorry Sandy - I am not seeing what is so special about this story - it doesn't contain anything brand spanking new.All of the ideas mentioned in the article have been discussed for some time.
Plus which, I do not feel the need to evangelise :)
What am I missing? What about the article do you think "the godless" would make more of?
