Why Do Vegetarians Get Laughed At And Mocked So Much?
123 Answers
I am human. I will breed you and indescriminantly kill you for my food. I will also select the ones that feel nice, kill you and make you into my clothes. When I feel lonely or need to seek solace in my terrible life I will use you for your companionship and convince myself you love me.
Now I get laughed at a lot by turning to vegetarianism more and more but does the above not sound just pathetic?

I always laugh at the vegetarians who state all the moral filled reasons why they are vegetarians. ..then go and eat a kebab

No it sounds accepting of the way life works. Above the base of the food chain one living thing preys on another. And an avoidance of oversensitivity which would otherwise risk believing they have a moral disagreement with nature.
I don't think many laugh at vegetarians, but many do see it as a strange stance to take. But each to their own, as "they" say.

Mrs O. Had to laugh at your posting about the lobster.
Whilst being a meat eater I am not good with the idea of killing something myself and then eating it.
Living near the sea as we do a friend used to come round after mackerel fishing and give us some spare fish. One day he came round and said 'Do you like crab'? I said we both loved shellfish.
He then produced a live crab from the bucket. I thanked him profusely.
Later I went down to the sea and let it go!
Hypocritical I know but we've all got our funny ways!

There seems to be an ever-growing tendency to post misleading or untrue statements/claims in the guise of questions.
'Why do vegetarians get laughed at...?' - most people would strongly disagree that vegetarians DO get laughed at.
There have been similar 'questions' - 'why do atheists...?', 'why do Christians...?', and most of them are not backed up by any facts or evidence. If the questions are presented in such a slanted form, it's unlikely the answers will satisfy the people who've posted them.
