So when atheist today do not think it makes sense to tell the truth, like LG // I was not aware Matthew mentioned atheists. I was all set for a good read, then found out that he did not, after all//
To help you understand, LG Remember, what you read can help or hurt you, confuse or enlighten you. But if you give priority to reading God’s Word you be sure to benefit.
LG make a visit to the London library, it contains thousands or even millions of books—“romance” novels, science fiction, atheism, history sports stories. A lifetime would not be long enough to read all of this! No wonder, then, that long before the era of mass printing King Solomon warned people: “Take a warning: To the making of many books there is no end, and much devotion to them is wearisome to the flesh.” (Ecclesiastes 12:12) He was not discouraging reading, he was just advising you to be selective.
And at the end the day all atheists can say they got nothing to offer.

Well today no more flagrant ignoring of the facts can be found than that dealing with God and his purposes. Many people conceive God to be what they want him to be, not what he really is. They ascribe qualities to him that he does not have, or take away qualities that he does have. They try to fashion God to an image that suits their fancy, while ignoring the facts that show what he actually is, so ask a atheists, or read the Bible. (John 17:3)
OK, Goodlife, tell us exactly what god is and support the statements with facts. The word 'fact' does not mean anecdotal ramblings from an old book, it means solid corroborative evidence that can be verified in some rational way.
If you cannot provide these evidential facts then we will have to assume that until you do you are talking complete dog's whatsits and anything you say subsequently deserves to be ignored as the complete male gonads it is.

Something it's worth pointing out GL is that if anyone could persuade me that the facts do strongly support the existence of a (Christian, Muslim, etc.) God then I would have to change my mind. I hope very much that the same could be said of most atheists really. The problem is that such facts invariably reference the Bible, which is circular reasoning.
Si, can you manage to come up with some facts supporting the existence of God independently of the Bible
