Man’S Way Or By God’S Way—Which?

How foolish it would be for you to spend all your time accumulating wealth and power as the world does.
To see a lifetime spent amassing wealth is a lifetime wasted. Jesus wisely reasoned: For what benefit will it be to a man if he gains the whole world but forfeits his soul? or what will a man give in exchange for his soul -Matt. 16:26.
A wealthy King spent much of his time acquiring homes, gardens, provinces and all sorts of luxury and he concluded that : I looked at everything done on earth, and I saw that it is all a waste of time. It is like trying to catch the wind-Eccl. 1:14.

even thro the front door !
Oh and while we are at it - pairing NT with OT parallels
shows a presupposition that the OT is in some way a pre-quel to Jesus' life.
and what is the evidence for that (conclusion) ?
or even did Jesus believe it himself ? [whether or not he is historical)
or the Gospel writers ? (presumbaly people think they are historical)
I dont like: wisely reasoned... was there a time he didnt wisely reason
time to go back to the Greek..... I have to say Goodlife does stimulate some thought.

// There is something strangely attractive about the thought of giving away all ones worldly goods and living a life dependent on the kindness of strangers. //
There's always a few people like that hanging around our city centre sandy. They've probably not done it through choice though as they never look particularly happy.
