…. I have discovered that I am honoured with an invitation to Mrs.O’s fabulous Chatterbank fancy dress party – which I am, of course, delighted to accept. She’s chosen a costume for me – ordinary clothes (I’ll wear party posh) – but I am to carry a bible and a rolling pin – my character – a Bible Basher! What fun!

Dare I ask for ideas for costumes for an R&S fancy dress party? (Do keep it pleasant – please. This really is just a bit of seasonal fun).

May I suggest that Goodlife comes as a Centurion carrying the simple sword of truth and the trusty shield of faith?
I need time to consider what I'll wear
Question Author
Sackcloth & ashes?
No, it's a party. It'll give me the opportunity to leave the hairshirt in for its annual dry clean.
I'll probably wear a pained expression at the sight of all the goodly unGodly enjoying themselves without a thought of the morrow. :-)
I'm not saying I'll just wear a pained expression.
Oooh. Daring, sandy! Any suggestions for the"goodly ungodly" to wear?
Was once given a picture card at sunday school, titled "His banner over me was love" and since the card would barely cover one of them I'll drape the banner.
There are so many of them and they display such resolve and erudition that my hearts in my boots at even considering the prospect. Perhaps they could get the Inquisition uniforms from the Monty Python sketch?
Lol. Can see your point :-)
Naw! Sandy, at a party, surely nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.
Can I go has Adam, naomi. I have a fig leaf.
Did none of you see 'Thorn Birds'?

That's who I'll go as..........

.......The ladies were all over him, as they would be me at the Chatterbank party, especially if I wear my One Direction after shave eh? :O)

Ed will wear his pointy hat
Question Author
Boxy, mmmm .... can't think where a pointy hat would fit in with this particular category. A turban perhaps - or a fez, but that's stretching the imagination.
Erm, pointy hats are Klu Klux Klan, but that's not very PC of me to mention :-(
That's probably helping sandy's pained expression, though, boxy.
I'm sure one of the three wise men wore a pointed hat. Though I can't remember if it was Caspar, Melchior, or Balthazar.
Question Author
Oh yes! I didn't think of the Ku Klux Klan. Oh well, no holds barred at this party. Pointy hats it is.
I'll be Caspar. I have a white sheet.
