Question For Naomi

I read on another thread that you used to live in a haunted house. Can you tell us a little more about what happened there? Im genuinely interested. One of my sisters seems to constantly have unexplained things happening to her and other members of my family have had 'spookey' experiences.
Anyone else lived in a haunted house or had experiences of the 'impossible'?

Earlier you talked of people speaking to others as if they were children. That is untrue and unfair. But then what is all this "popcorn anyone? " but a rather childish response to an opposing view? I don't expect you to be that impressed if anyone said the same in response to your points. If anything it shuts down the discussion and debate far more than any attempt to bring clarity and precision to the picture. And it does look rather... well, dismissive.

Jim, I didn’t say “electricity is energy” – Pixie said that – and as for the ‘popcorn’, had you been around here longer you would know that, as Ratter says, it’s simply another way of saying “get comfortable and watch”.
Look, this is getting sillier. Here’s where I’m coming from. I think (know) strange things happen that currently defy explanation. What causes them to happen no one knows, but personally I can only assume they are created by some form of energy (there’s that dreaded word again). I’ve responded to nailit’s request, and that’s really all I have left to say on the subject.

Thanks for clarifying that then. From now on I will take it in that spirit, although I think perhaps it's one of those sorts of comment that is just lost on someone who's newer to the community. Sometimes the tone of my posts is misinterpreted and I get a bit irritated whenever that happens. It works both ways I guess. Moving on...
That was in a different context, where you had taken my meaning as energy not being destroyed as being the same as life after death and i was saying energy and life are not the same thing, using electricity as an example. It looks misplaced on your post, but different context and different conversation then.

no, I did actually mean 'buffeting', as in blows, turbulence, etc.
By 'holes patched', I mean extra bits of narrative tacked on, such as "and it couldn't have been my brother doing a wind-up, as he was abroad at the time", so as to negate the kind of 'obvious' questions that the (concise) first version triggered.
hope that helps.

I don't know if anyone else has asked this yet:
If ALL the clocks and watches were wrong, what was
it which first alerted you all to the discrepancy - you, your spouse and/or children, one of the guests or was it by reference to TV/Radio/Speaking clock?
What did you all get up to while blissfully unaware of the mis-set timepieces?
What year was this? (ie what kind of clocks/watches/mobile phones you all had)?

I've seen wall clocks with a radio/satellite self correction system advertised for many a year so, in this day and age, you may need to stress that these were all manually adjusted.
However, this then raises the question of whether a person could have got into every room in the house and not miss any secreted out of sight?
Could someone among you possess hitherto unknown deep knowledge of people's hiding habits?
Before I can begin to contemplate 'fun' stuff, such as how the non-physical can manipulate physical objects, all mundane explanations must be explored and eliminated. Tedious, yes, but unavoidable, I fear.

Well, that's the whole question of the thread- what the possibilities might be. I really wouldn't know them all, so wouldn't say they were all explored. And no-one did it- that would be exceptionally hard to prove to someone else? So while i don't disbelieve you, it shows how difficult it is to rule out or disprove the more obvious explanations, first.

Frankly, I can’t imagine what explanation - obvious or otherwise - you would expect to find for something like this that didn’t involve interference by human hand. Some sort of earthquake perhaps? I don't need endorsement from other people and I don't feel compelled to prove it to anyone.

My god...how this has deviated from the original question because others on here want to discredit some people. I have to totally agree with the way Naomi has answered the critics, her answers as per expected and always constant. It's such a shame that on answerbank it seems some love to 'diss' others just for the sake of it. Shame on them, why not stick to the OP question? I feel so in tune with Naomi's way of thinking, her expertise in the subject in hand and how she deals with the flack. Pity those who delight in trying to slate those who state exactly how they feel and how things are, are seemingly knocked by *** stirrers....a good discussion ruined in my opinion but that's par for the course for some contributors to AB it seems!
