Religionists, (of whatever persuasion) does your God set a good example to live by...according to your own scriptures?

I have to admit that I havn't read all of the Koran so will have to leave that to others. However, I have read the entire Bible and the saying "Do as I say. Not as I do" seems appropriate.
Just curious here, but why is it ok for God to slaughter, maim, kill, murder, be jealous, homophobic, genocidal, sexist, vain, vindictive etc and yet we mere mortals have to ask HIM for forgiveness of sins?

Just asking.

'God never hurt anything' because as you should know, as I've said it many times; I do not believe in an interventionist God.
Khandro, Therefore, as I said, the God you believe in exists within your head alone. I rest my case.
"'God never hurt anything' because as you should know, as I've said it many times; I do not believe in an interventionist God.".
But Meyer's book "Darwin's Doubt" which you were inviting us to read last year, Khandro, is predicated on the assumption that ONLY the intervention of an intelligent being (i.e. God) could explain the many examples of irreducible complexity like the human eye or the bacterial flagellum that we see in nature.
Everything exists 'within my head alone', God, and even you naomi! B. teaches "Mind Only"; the reality we think we perceive does not exist except as a process of knowing. Phenomena, and all things that can be experienced, have no reality in themselves.
v_e; Your sneaking in of "(i.e. God)" amuses me.
Khandro, //Everything exists 'within my head alone', God, and even you naomi! //

Oh Gawd! You're off again. Around the houses we go.
Note to self: add solipsism to that coat of many colours which is Khandro.
The 'gentle Jesus, meek and mild', model seems to hold sway at the minute. I sometimes think this might be a more realistic view of him.

They kill us for their sport."
