You have little time to repent your sins, toady up to the almighty, and generally get your boxes ticked for admittance.
That assumes you believe in heaven and want to go there. Judging by the people who claim to have a shoe in the Gates, it will be a very dull place.
otherwise, the end of the world is just something that is beyond your power to change, so you should stop worrying about it.

What was wrong with all the near-death experiences of ordinary folk? Were they less believable?
Why does it always have to be a doctor or a policeman or some other category who few people would dare to question the credibilty of?
The bright light thing seems to be a common experience so, without watching the vid I know he's not lying about what he experienced yet I'm not willing to believe that this is proof of an afterlife. Since he came back to life, all we do know is that he didn't actually go all the way.

I'm with retro on this back in the70's I recieved the last rites and they don't give them out unless you're knocking on the gates, after that when I eventually recovered it changed my whole life style, why worry about some thing you can't change. In regards to the light thing the only thing I can remember was the pain
We've evolved to be un-keen of death Naomi. Those in the past who didn't have this concern took greater risks and often went to meet their maker early. Leaving those who are wary with us today. It'll be the difference between what the conscious mind believes and what our more primaeval instincts do to us.
