You like many others do not come to a conclusion after looking at the evidence. With you the conclusion comes first and then you only admit such evidence to support said conclusion.
That's how the Birmingham pub bombers got gaoled. The cops arrested the suspects, then only admitted such evidence as would support their case. The result, fifteen year miscarriage of justice.

With one dismissive sweep of your hand you can with just one or two phrases be judge and jury on a whole theological discipline and find it wanting.
Then to rub salt in the wound, you announce in a most paternal and patronising way, that you have really tried to educate this poor dumb Theland but as he is his own worst enemy, he just won't listen to your entirely superior wisdom.
Well that's a shame, Sir, and I can only say that I am not convinced that Omwoild be better off if I were gifted with your powers of reasoning, and your ability to be so selective in the face of evidence that is at least worthy of some consideration, rather than outright dismissal.

In answer to spath at 09.11, religion shouldn't get respect because of the number of churches. What for? Should beer drinkers get respect because of the number of pubs? Or football fans get respect because of the number of clubs? Or golfers get respect because of the number of golf courses? I was brought up a roman catholic and everything that was ever promised to me by the SS in Drag, the nuns, was when my life was over I would be in paradise. Yep, I had to peg out before I reached the promised land. What a load of cobblers.

Thanks for the good wishes. A bit of good luck always comes in handy. But I always refer to the St. Andrews Bible, i.e. The Rules of Golf. And the Subsidiary Bible, known as Decisions on The Rules of Golf. Did you know that next year, the oldest rule in golf is going to be scrapped? The rule about a lost ball where "Ye playere shall incur ye penaltye of ye stroke and ye distanse" The powers that be know no bounds!
Theland, the hand of the divine wasn’t responsible for the creation of Israel. The Zionist movement arose from the long-cherished and never forgotten ambition of the Jews to return to their ‘homeland’.
