You have accused me (and others) in the past of hating Christians. Ive asked you several times why you think this and you never reply.
As you know Ive started voluntary work with a Christian organization....foodbank.....and I work with several people who are Christians of the 'born again' type. One of my closest friends is a retired pastor, I have another friend who is an evangelical Christian.
Why would I surround myself with Christians when I *hate* them so much? Hell, I'd even meet up with you for a coffee and probably get on great with you. (Liverpool is only a short train ride away from Stoke...)
Just don't get why you think that I hate Christians? I don't hate Christians just because I question your beliefs.
Do I accuse you of hating atheists because we have a different opinion/outlook on life?

However, I FULLY accept responsibility for misconstruing your motives and once again apologise.
If I was catholic I would self flagelate and wear a hair shirt, but am not, so you just have to be content and gracious enough to let me off.
AND WIPE MY NAME OFF YOUR LAVATORY WALL!

Fare enough. And from this side of the eyes it seemed like less of a conversation and more of a you tube fest at times. Seriously Theland, try having a debate/talk at times instead of calling people (like Dawkins) morons etc. Give us your OWN thoughts....

My own thoughts?
Here goes.
I have compared the evidence for and against the bible. The bible wins hands down.
Also, there is the personal experience of Jesus Christ in my life. That is the most convincing.
The atheist position does not impress me.
I fail to see any evidence for a universe from nothing, for abiogenesis, and for evolution.
These basically are the core values of my beliefs.

Just to address one of your above-listed reasons for believing in god, and one that you say is the most convincing for you:
by its very nature this reason is useless for convincing others as it is a totally personal experience unable to be shared by others.
It's also interesting that because it is totally personal, you can fall back on it if all else fails, and no one can contradict you.
If I said that god had spoken to me and told me that the world would end in 2019, the rest of the world would be very stupid to accept this as truth and make preparations for the end.
