Nothing like a bit of Pope and Imam baiting, with a bit of fire and brimstone thrown in for good measure, to raise the hackles of the heretics, and bring them out of the woodwork with all guns blazing!

Oh come now Theland, Christians use the Old Testament too as well you know, and plenty of encouragement for violence there.

Theland your really can't pick and choose who you think are real Christians and who are not. I think the clue is in the word 'Christ'? If you believe in Christ then surely you are a christian.

If you believe sincerely that there are good and bad Christians then you have to believe there are good and bad Muslims (other faiths are available)

People are being killed as we speak in the name of Christ.

Your faith leaders preach about the sins of zero hours contracts and multi national industries not paying tax -yet give zero hours contracts to their workers and have shares in Amazon. Or is the Archbishop Justin Welby not a real Christian either?

Simple. If a person accepts Jesus Christ as Saviour, and behaves accordingly then that is a Christian.
Lip service is what Christ compared to White sepulchres, beautiful on the outside but within full of death and corruption.

So the whole of the Christian church is a ' White sepulchre' because they support zero hours contracts and have shares in Amazon. They are also your Landlords who can't fulfill their legal right to provide a safe environment for their Tenants. If I told my Tenants I could not fix their boiler, or fix their damp problems because I had no money I would be prosecuted.

Sorry but I respect your choice but I think I'll pass on Christianity if you don't mind.

The Christian knights and crusades were really quite limited compared to that of the Muslims. It’s a misnomer that the crusades spread far and wide. I will have a relook.

This is the spread of Christianity and If I remember rightly, the red Christian crusades were a relatively small part that was the small area in the middle that got swallowed up quickly by Islam.

It's true the Crusades had a limited impact however the intention was there and the Christians did do a sterling job of massacring Jews in the the Middle Ages, which was altogether easier, so I don't really think being cr4p at Crusading gives them a pass :) x

God and Eve in the Garden
One day in the Garden of Eden, Eve calls out to God...

a man for you."

"What's a 'man,' Lord?"

"This man will be a flawed creature, with many bad traits.

you a hard time. But, he'll be bigger, faster, and will like

to hunt and kill things. He will look silly aroused, but

since you've been complaining, I'll create him in such in a

way that he will satisfy your ah, physical needs. He'll be

witless and will revel in childish things like fighting and

kicking a ball about. He won't be too smart, so he'll also

need your advise to think properly.

"Sounds great," says Eve, with an ironically raised eyebrow.

Unlike Islamic atrocities, those committed by the IRA were not motivated by religion. Continuing attempts here to compare the two, or to equate today’s world with that of a thousand years ago, are at the most ignorant and at the worst fatuous.

I like to think that anyone who says ‘Each to his own’ hasn’t really considered what they’re supporting because if they have they need to have a serious re-think. The cry of ‘Muslim bashing’ serves only to defend the indefensible.
